The compound radius and Englemann top where the selling points now they switched to Sitka Spruce as soon as the first batch were in stores! You just lost my money. I bet the first batch wasn’t even Englemann Spruce.

I just bought an Epiphone F-5 studio vs satin and I don't think it's worth the 649 euros I paid for it. Luckly it's still in the "send it back" period but I'm still on the fence about. I'm new to the mandolin but I've been playing guitar for over 35 years and I work on my own guitars. But I can't get the damn thing to play in tune, it feels kinda cheap and it sounds very thin and not warm at all. Would anyone like to weigh in?

I bought this guitar for me 6 months ago. I usually play bass and keyboards, but I wanted a decent big body guitar that wasn't crazy expensive to learn on. Since then, I think I might have been able to play the guitar 15 minutes total. Both of the guitarists in my band refuse to let me touch it. It sounds like a really good, early-60s Gibson 335. Anyone wanting a 335, but who doesn't have the cash for a Gibson, should have this guitar. I don't know what to say. Even if you don't want a 335, hate guitars in general, and prefer to play kazoo; you should have this guitar. Better yet: find a mate, make a kid, and raise them to play this guitar. That's how good this guitar is.

yeah sounds more like a martin. little mids and weak bass. doesnt sound like my dad's vintage j45. was excited to buy one but may just buy a gibson standard j45 instead.

No, it was originally called the Les Paul two but Les Paul didn’t like it so they just went with SG because they were lazy. I would’ve called it. The beast.

When I was a kid mid 00s, I bought an Epiphone LP Jr. It was a black 90s Korean made Jr. I wish I didn't sell it in high school. I still have a 90s S-310 that was refinished in EVH stripes.

I bought one of these at Joe’s February show in Durham,NC. It was signed by Joe and came with two tickets to a meet and greet at the next show I attend. I had a hard time putting down $1500 for an Epi, but this thing is truly awesome. Best neck I ever played, very high quality build, extremely low and buzz-free action, and those Epi Burstbucker pickups are amazing! This guitar plays as well as my most recent acquisition 2018 Gibson Flying V. I can’t wait to see what comes next in the Bonamassa series from Epiphone.

Piezo should have at least been an option for a markup. And I know he's not EVH but a drop D tuna would have been a nice yet inexpensive touch to give players even more versatility
